About NEJ Running Club
Formed in 1987, NEJ are a well established running club, well equipped to cater for runners and joggers of all abilities. In addition to our running, we have a comprehensive programme of social activities throughout the year.
Our home is The Pavilion Sports and Leisure Club, 135 Footscray Road, Eltham SE9 where we meet up every Wednesday and Friday evening for a prompt 7pm start, where we like to mix our running schedules with regular fitness evenings with our qualified coach.
On top of this, if you like to take in the Kent country side, then why not join us for a nice social Sunday morning run at Honeydale Farm, Ruxley.

NEJ marathon draw
and the lucky three are…
The NEJ marathon draw took place on Sunday after our GP run at Honeydale farm. The lucky runners pulled from the hat were:
Adrian Bennett, Jan Baltruschat and Kevin Pettipher.
Well done guys, enjoy the next couple of weeks before the training starts
For one night only
Friday 24th February…
For you music lovers, we are lucky enough to have The NEJ ‘Old Boy’ Trio performing for one night only at The Pavilion. The Trio consists of Nigel Kent, Steve Walker and Steve’s mate!!
They will be playing all your favourite tunes (not sure if they will do requests, but you can only ask).
It looks to be a fun evening, so shower down after your run, come along and enjoy.
Not just a walk in the park!
Why not join…
Steve Freeman, who has kindly agreed to start a new walking group on Wednesday club nights from The Pavilion.
These walks will be ‘brisk’ and varied and are intended to suit those of us recovering from injury, not up to running or just fancy a walk to work up a thirst before retiring to the bar!
(And of course there’s the added appeal of Steve’s full repertoire of pathetic jokes).
If you’d like to join in please find Steve on a Wednesday night and give it a go.
Registering for upcoming events
Please note that if you want to enter any of the races stated in the events calendar, please ensure that you do so as early as you can, particularly the Grand Prix events to avoid disappointment, as many are filled very quickly.
